Mouths in Motion Speech Therapy Services was founded by Candice Crofford in 2020 with the idea of helping families with young children who exhibit speech or language difficulties. We are currently serving families in Summerville, Ladson, Nexton, Knightsville, Moncks Corner and surrounding areas.

Born and raised in Albany, New York, Candice graduated with her Master of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2012. She traded in the cold weather and snow for the hot weather and beaches.

Candice has worked in elementary schools and the pediatric practice setting prior to starting her own business. She has worked with children with a wide range of diagnoses and is truly passionate about making therapy fun and ensuring that all children are able to effectively express themselves.

We are licensed in South Carolina and are part of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

What People Are Saying

“Ms. Candice was an SLP at the local Elementary school where my son came for speech services 2x's a week. He was diagnosed with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) at 3 years old prior to coming to see Ms. Candice. Although I was not in the classroom while the speech sessions were taking place, I saw Ms. Candice's attentiveness in what she prepared for "homework" and notes about each session.

My son not only looked forward to coming to "play" at speech each week, but he was also making huge strides with his speech. In the beginning, he had only a handful of words in his vocabulary, but by the time we were leaving (for a move), he was speaking in full sentences.

There was a lot of work that was put in on both ends, but I know a lot of credit goes to Ms. Candice and her job performance as an SLP. Had we stayed in SC, we would have continued to come to her for services until my son was ready to "graduate". I am happy to say that today at 6 years old, my son has very little speech errors and no one suspects he once had a speech delay with much complication.”
